About Jen Petrillo, Assistant Teacher

Jen Petrillo began dancing at age 9.  She continued to take classes and compete through her sophomore year of high school.  During her time at Providence College, Jen was a member of the Irish Dance club on campus.  As a member of the club, she had the chance to dance in several shows each year, and to help choreograph innovative routines that blended both traditional and contemporary elements.  Several years after college, Jen had the opportunity to assist the late Rosemary Seery of the Warnock Seery School of Irish Dance.  As a former student of Rosemary, she was delighted to be able to work with Rosemary and her students.

When Jen and her husband Nick got married on June 24, 2017, their first dance at their reception was to the song “Riverdance” (It was Nick’s idea!). After starting off with a slow dance that the couple choreographed, Jen broke into a slip jig that surprised all their guests.  She wore her Irish dance shoes with her wedding dress for the entire reception.

Jen is grateful to be a part of team D’Arcy and is excited to come on board as an assistant this year!

Jen will be assisting on Friday evenings during our tiny tot and beginner classes!
